Advanced Resuscitation

This course is designed to teach the knowledge and skills necessary to maintain the breathing and circulation in an adult, child and infant using various oxygen aids. To complete this course you must have completed the Basic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation course and the Senior First Aid Course. The course is a minimum of three to four hours.

Course content includes:

• Assess someone and recognise need for Advanced Resuscitation
• Provide oxygen therapy
• Operate suction equipment
• Demonstrate correct use of AED
• Prepare and restore oxygen and AED equipment
• Use of bag and mask device and oxygen equipment
• Provide reports

Assessment is based on demonstration of practical knowledge and skills.
