Level 2 - Senior First Aid

This course is a minimum of 15hrs and covers all the aspects of training in Level 1, and more specialised training for treatments for poisoning, breathing, and fractures.

  • Signs of life
  • Performing CPR
  • Special techniques for infants and children
  • Defibrillator demonstration
  • Care of an unconscious person
  • CPR in special circumstances
  • Cardiac emergencies
  • Bleeding and wound care
  • Serve allergic reactions
  • Shock
  • Burns and Scalds
  • Extremes of heat and cold
  • Poisoning
  • Altered conscious states
  • Bites and Stings
  • Musculoskeletal injuries
  • Infectious control
  • Reporting procedures

Assessment is based on practical demonstrations of skills, role play in mock scenarios and a written quiz at the end of the course. You are always well prepared for the assessment and as long as you participate you are guaranteed to pass.
