Level 3 - Occupational First Aid

This course is a minimum of 30 hrs and covers more advanced first aid knowledge and skills. It also provides information on state and federal legislations for workplace first aid. Before completing this course you must have completed your Senior First Aid Certificate.

Course content includes:

• Applying legislation in the workplace
• Managing safety in the workplace
• Management of toxic hazards
• Care of welfare in the workplace
• Care of first aid facilities
• Completing documentation
• Assessment of a casualty
• Bleeding and wound care
• Administration of medications
• Management of musculoskeletal injuries
• Apply principles of triage
• Apply first aid management in a confined space

Assessment is based on practical demonstrations of skills, role play in mock scenarios and a written quiz at the end of the course. You are always well prepared for the assessment and as long as you participate you are guaranteed to pass.
